Soul Survivor Each summer we run four Soul Survivor events which last five days and this year we have a brand new Naturally Supernatural event which will last six days. In 2016 we welcomed around 26,000 young people over our events. The rest of the year we keep busy with lots of other events for all ages, such as weekends away, equipping days and Saturday celebrations (see ‘other events’). Plus we run Soul Action to put God’s heart for justice into action, and SoulNet to support and encourage youth leaders. Central Asia Central Asia, countries surrounded by China, Pakistan, Iran and Russia, are young as nations, in Church history and in population age. Formerly under the Soviet Union, Communism has been superseded by rapidly strengthening Islam under governments very fearful of civil unrest - exacerbated by hundreds of IS fighters returning home to Central Asia from Syria. From 2008 persecution of followers of Jesus increased sharply, in some areas most severely. Life for believers is now very difficult with the harsh laws implemented by the secret police. The relational led work in this region is around helping equip and empower the Church, encourage and invest in leaders and train national trainers for the Church to not just survive but to flourish and impact their societies.
